One of the many ways to eco-design a cosmetic product is to offer a product that you can reconstitute yourself. This makes it possible to offer water-free formulas that are lighter to carry and reconstitute with tap water in a pack that can be reused "for life".
Many young French brands already offer this type of product in a dilutable powder version, including Neo by Nature, Pimpant, Step One and Maison Hädenn.
This initiative is particularly interesting coming from a major player in the sensitive and reactive skin market, such as Neutrogena, part of the Johnson & Johnson group, which launched its Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser in the USA last May.
The brand claims a powder formula made up of 7 ingredients (fragrance-free and 96% biodegradable) that can be reconstituted with hot water in a reusable aluminium foaming bottle.
